About the Role

There is an opportunity for a registered nurse to join our Diagnostic and Cardiac Imaging team at Capital Radiology. You will be able to assist in working with diagnostic specialists in cardiac imaging to assist in performing CTCA, ECG, BPs and holter monitor examinations at our Carlton Clinic. In addition, you will have the opportunity to assist our radiologists in performing ultrasound or CT guided interventional procedures. This is a great opportunity for a RN to find a interesting role without shiftwork and gain a foothold in the medical imaging and cardiac space. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting supervising medical personnel with cardiac-related radiology exams
• Assisting with preparation of patients under the guidance of a radiologist and/or cardiologist including medication management
• Provide patients with an educational, supportive, safe and reassuring environment
• Monitor patients post exam and follow-up when required

 Essential Skillset

• Unconditional registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• A proactive mindset and ability to multi-task
• IV cannula insertion skills
• Up to date Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Cardiac experience is a plus, but not essential
